Willersley Castle

Willersley Castle

I spent today at Willersley Castle with the folks from Belper Central, including Jane and Roy Dodman, Monica's sister and brother-in-law. My theme was prayer and healing and I started off with Rob Frost's Upper Room DVD. It was not universally welcomed, partly down to the rather rough approach by Andy Hawthorne and partly down to the wacky ideas espoused by the young people. However, it stimulated good conversations on prayer. I asked Jane and Roy to coordinate one of the three groups. Susan Chambers handled another group and I handled Ethernet third.

For the healing session I showed the Miracle Maker scene of Jairus' daughter and the woman who touched the hem of Jesus' garment. This really engaged wi them and a number of healing testimonies came out of the discussion groups.

All in all it was a good day and they presented me with an Amazon gift voucher.

In the evening I cooked a meal for us both. We also skyped Andrew and Becky to catch up on the latest news. They want Margaret to go over around her birthday (their anniversary) but I will be tied up with synod and other commitments.
