Keyworth Methodist

Keyworth Parish Church

I woke early this morning and read much of the book of Acts. I will be re-reading it later today to study the change of emphasis in the later chapters.

This morning I preached at Keyworth Methodist Church. It is always good to be there as they are a friendly and supportive church. The interior is well designed and preaching is a pleasure with good audio-visuals available. There was a small but effective music group which included a number of brass instruments including a tuba. Margaret came with me and I preached on the theme of Passion and Pressure, contrasting the high spots of ministry as seen in Acts 4 with Peter and John with the experience of Elijah in the cave in 1 Kings 19 which was the set reading.

In the afternoon we spent time tidying up the garden. I mowed the lawn and cut the hedge while Margaret did more weeding. Our green bin is so full we had to use Gloria's too.
